Caravan towing courses for all the
know-how you need when towing
Do you need to tow a trailer, horsebox, caravan or even a boat? If the answer
is yes then you may not be aware that since 1st January 1997 a new test was
introduced by the licensing and testing authorities. Our caravan towing courses
are perfect as they will prepare you for every eventuality you are likely to
experience whilst towing.
If your trailer exceeds 750kgs or the combined weight of the towing vehicle and
trailer exceeds 3500kgs you may need to sit the B+E test. Our caravan towing
lessons will ensure you pass with flying colours, quickly and cheaply. However,
it is still possible for you to tow a trailer as long as you meet certain
criteria. If you've sat your test prior to 1st January 1997 or if you passed
after this date you may still tow a trailer with a gross weight of 1.5 tons, as
long as the towing vehicle and trailer are very carefully matched. Failure to
comply with the new licensing laws can lead to a maximum of 9 penalty points, a
£1000 fine or even a ban.

Our caravan towing lessons are conducted in both Wales and Devon in preparation
for the B+E trailer test. We recommend an assessment of your driving prior to
commencing one of our caravan towing courses. This assessment can take place in
your vehicle or one of our own (a reduction in price is made for using your own
vehicle) with our trailer. The amount of training varies for each individual so
our caravan towing courses usually last between one and four days, culminating
with the practical test on the final day.
If you run a business and have staff members who require the B+E trailer test
qualification then Cats Eyes caravan towing lessons are perfect for you. We
offer commercial trailer training using accommodation within easy reach of the
caravan towing course centre, all of which are to a high standard and include a
full English breakfast and many include en-suite facilities. Our residential
courses usually consist of two and a half hours in the morning followed by
lunch and a further two and a half hours in the afternoon. Why not bring a
